I am a single parent, FATHER, DAD, MALE PARENT with a son, currently residing in the
Wake County area of North Carolina. The list I have below clearly illustrates the resources
that my son and I have found useless and exhausted to resolving our homeless situation.
I am seeking an investigation and deep conducted resolve to how single parent dads,
fathers are not equally facilitated with permanent housing resources vs. that of single
parent women with children.
EXAMPLE;
Programs in NC are only putting a bandage over a pothole to the problems of homeless fathers/dads with children. This is a form of acquiring FEDERAL funds designed to help families such as myself and dads, fathers with children appears to not be useful. The systematic revolving door of services temporarily places dads, fathers, in temporary shelters for a limited time based on funding. Homeless shelters for men do not allow children under the age of 18. But, women, mothers with children can seem to acquire all the services and resources FEDERAL funds provided. For decades men, fathers, dads with children have been forced to leave their children with their female companion even if the relationship is not stable. Due to programs that only provide services and resources for women, mothers with children. Therefore, when the child grows up living with the mother, teens, kids and infants grow up not knowing their father because there were little to no programs for the male role model to sustain being a father, man, dad to provide for his family nor resources to housing. If the child grows up and commits a crime their only excuse and logical awareness is the fact they grew up not knowing or having a father figure in their lives. This pattern of practice systematically must come to an end. THIS IS GENDER DISCRIMINATION!
FEDERAL Funds given to the agencies/programs below are available but when it comes to dads, fathers, like me, I have been told several times there is no availability. Only to be homeless with my son or sleep in the car. So, these same agencies/programs are continuing to perpetuate a system of homeless men, fathers, dads with children by requesting FEDERAL FUNDS but not applying them to men, dads, fathers with children. THIS IS MISUSE / FRAUD ...Borderline RICO
Homeless children are forced to suffer if / when they are living with their father, dads. The McKinney Vento Act is a program that is suppose to help homeless children remain in school learning / virtual learning or school settings based on the program of McKinney Vento Act.
I have no problem with sharing the list of resources my son and I went to that failed us.
As we are currently in WAKE COUNTY, please be aware that I have a large list of agencies and resources that failed my son and I.
This list below is a basis of truthful experiences, resources that have not helped me nor my son find permanent housing with FEDERAL FUNDS available to do so.

Question, why all housing and program supervisor mostly all female?
Question, do these women/females in positions of power help really respect men? Or use their power as revenge from personal relationships they had gone sour?

Dominguez sat and did nothing from
2022 until March 27,2024.

TRIANGLE FAMILY SERVICES appears Ms Bynum and Gene Troy would rather downplay, ignore, or try to discredit me
and the experiences my son and I had to endure, trying to get services rendered, and the credibility so their office does not have to do anything. But they rather keep US HUD and other FEDERAL FUNDINGS for these programs coming in, even after proving they DO NOT HELP FATHERS, DADS, MEN WITH CHILDREN.
NOTE: OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS is one of many that will play games with indigent father, dads, men with children. I hope this agency gets shut down entirely.

My son and I were told by AMADA RENFROE that they would have availablity in 3-4 months.
December 2021, I have reached out to Ms. Renfroe several times for a follow-up. She has NOT returned any of my phone calls.
CLOSING;
I must also address and bring to your attention based on the hurtful experiences my son and I have faced and continue to face being homeless, in my opinion, I do feel that at this point I am being BLACK-LISTED and or BLACK-BALLED based on the lack of support for over the past few years. 2019 - 2021. By remaining silent "they" the ones in positions to help choose to put their heads in the sand or hoping we just die or go away. I have a MOTTO; if you aren't part of the solution, then, you must be part of the problem. Let's see how and if things change for all of us, Fathers, Dads, Men with Children in gaining equal permanent housing.
